compression ratios due to milling heads
where do I find a chart so I can mill my LQ4 heads to the proper chamber size?i think I want to be at 10.1 to 10.5 ratio on 93 octane. what kind of gaskets for proper thickness also. did a search and range was .030-.55, couldnt get an exact number to mill. Thanks,

Every .006" you mill will subtract 1 cc from your chamber, so .030" would be 5 cc's milled off which would put an lq4 head at about 67-68 cc's. Using the calculator I found, milling .030" and using a .040" thinck gasket would give you your desired 10.5:1. Just do a google search for compression ratio calculator and enter in you combo.

I'm going to mill heads for the stock head gaskets accordingly for 10.5 to 1. What will the HP percentage increase be on increasing comp 1 point? With cam and tune? Is it worth it?
