Default Confused

I know everybody on here has said its been beat to death and such but ive done some researching looking up articles and different things and still don't know which route to go

1. Single turbo set up? forged internals? if not how much boost would i be safe with?

2. All motor? what set up would get me close to 400hp? or little less little more?

3. Nitrous, forged everything or just pistons?

Just need a little guidance

What truck do you have? What are you overall goals for the truck? DD or weekend warrior?

No need for forged internals on these engines, unless you start to get serious with FI. You see guys on here and other sites with the lil 4.8L LS engines making 600 to the wheels on stock blocks.

Just get a KB front mount kit with a 70 or 76mm turbo and run it at 5-7psi to start you off. Then you can go from there.

Or you could do a 6.0 with cam, headers, new heads or head work and intake for a N/A build.

The 6.0 will be plug and play. Thats the great thing about the LS engines. And when you mod your truck its GOING to get worse gas mileage. Stock my truck was getting 13-14MPG in the city. Now Im getting about 9-10.

Plug and Play. The 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 havee the same connections. Just need to tune it. And 100 bucks is a AWESOME deal.

It all depends on your overall goal. How often do you plan on taking it to the track? Or is street racing your thing? You really cant go wrong with FI. Just keep it under 10PSI of boost. Have a look through this thread to help you figure out what you want.
