its not much bigger than the cam you have now...if you want to go through all this time and trouble for 5-15 more hp, have at it. for the tires you already have you wont feel a difference.. alot of us have already told you it aint worth your time. NOS?? nitrous is not for a show truck..most guys on here that have nitrous have it on their daily drivers

5.3 Vortec
I did find the specs and your correct it does not have enough difference from the one currently installed. I have found a local shop that can custom tune my truck. I viewed the videos you have posted, Looks like you have your truck producing some very substantial power.

If you want to do a cheap cam swap, don't go any smaller than a stock Z06/LS6 cam, I think you want 02 or higher. I think the specs are somewhere around 207/218, but don't quote me on that. It's about the only factory cam that's worth switching to. That, some LS6 valve springs, and a custom tune and you'll be all set. The cam will feel about he same down low but you should get some gains above 3000 RPM. If you have the $$ to spend though, you would be best off going with an aftermarket cam, springs, pushrods, and depending on the cam size, maybe a higher stall converter. Depends on what your goals are.
And for the record, you can't "chip" your truck. You can put a tune in it, either a custom tune from a person using HPTuners or EFILive, or you can get a tuner out of the box like a Predator or something like that. That's why these guys are poking fun

chip programmer ?????
Thanks,, for the record no i didn't install a chip,, i purchased an aftermarket programmer. They have chips correct... I have found out after purchasing the Hypertech Programmer the gains i expected fell way short. Thus the reason to upgrade the camshaft. The 2002 C5 LS1 had 350 HP not a large increase but better than the 290hp my truck came with stock.
