in the usable rpm range, a ****** honda will make more torque than that motor. there IS a reason no one has used that motor yet. that motor is setup to be run at very high rpms constantly, as in a road racing application

then go ahead and do the build. and then the entire forum will laugh at you when you complain about spending money on a engine build and it doesnt make any power before 5krpms and takes more maintenance than an full blown dragster. there is a reason that no body on here daily drives a truck with a solid roller valvetrain.

a 4.8 turbocharged, if a quality turbo kit is used, will maintain stock reliability, and with a properly sized turbo, start spooling at approx 2500 rpm and have full boost at 3500rpm and be MUCH faster than your proposed NA setup and get MUCH better fuel economy

i did miss that part BUT, what is the point in revving so high when you have a turbo? i dont remember the exact problems but i have read about having problems when revving over 7krpm when FI is used. maybe problems with getting valve springs to support the presures and not let the valves float. also for much boost you will need down to around 9:1 or lower. also forget about a solid roller with a turbo
