debating cams
i have a 01 silverado 4.8 im wanting to put a cam in but im not sure what one to go with. I dont really want to buy a stall converter i was just going to find a trailblazer converter im looking for a cam with a power band 1500 or under through 6300 atleast im looking into the thunder racing 220/220 cam. if anyone knows of any bettter let me know.

i agree with them. i have a predator 212/218 cam in my xcsb. runs great. your gonna want supporting mods like exhaust and intake with custom tune. and forget about the trailblazer stall. wont do much for you. runs fine with stock stall. save up for 2800-3000rpm converter.

I agree with the above recommendations...considering the powerband that you want and a TB converter, a TR220 in a 4.8 will be too much cam for those requirements. Just a guesstimate, but I'd think that a TR220 in a 4.8 would probably have a powerband more like 2500+ to 6500ish, and would probably work best with about a 3200-3400 converter

most of em are 114lsa...I had one in my 4.8 ECSB 5 speed and I really liked it a lot, great for daily driving but still surprised quite a few people. Im going to be running the 216/220 in a 5.3 that Ill be putting in it in a few weeks with my turbo set-up. Cant go wrong with either cam
