stupid question and im not goin to buy the one that sounds better ok my buddy has a 224/581 on a 112+4 in a 05 5.3 LTs ory yada yada but my question is the truck sounds very timid at idle ive heard a 220/581 on a 112 and it sounded meaner at idle does the 112+4 mean it has 4 degrees advance ground into the cam and is that the reason it sounds timid ?

so back to the original ? yes the +4 means it has 4* advance ground in. but it not the reason it sounds timid. Due to the larger duration and same LSA the "Timid" cam has more overlap and should theoretically have a choppier idle, which, i assume points to the tune. unless the engine size were different like the small one in a 4.8 and the big one in a 6.0. A large motor will make a large cam seem smaller...
E.g. a 224/208 112+4 which could have 35* overlap vs a 220/230 112 which could have around 54* of overlap.
There's just no way to guess without knowing the exhaust side (and even then it would just be a guess without the actual valve events for the lobes).

heres a question..if i were to do a turbo setup..what would be the best for it..+2 or +4?? i seen in a previous post were one of them made less cylinder pressure, and also has more top end power...and the other opposite..i was thinking a cam with more low end would be best since you could have a bottom end power advantage and that could possibly make up for turbo lag?? im kinda new at this gasser stuff( diehard diesel guy, commin over to the gasser side) but im looking for the best power setup, not sound.
