I have the new patriot cam and its pretty good. I would have actually liked to have gotten the cam you have when I bought mine, but they had stopped making it. Gunner told me that the new cam made about the same power but idle'd better and was easier to tune for. My cam sounds good at idle and makes great power so I'm happy with it. I have a "BIG" cam sitting in the closet waiting to go in, but it will probably have to wait a little while. At least till I get a gear...

The "T" version is the taller one. In FAST's literature, they say it's designed for trucks and cathedral-port headed cars with hood clearance. I think the only reason we don't see more of them is they just don't fit under a gen-4 fbody hood.

That intake sure is awesome looking, i wouldn't mind having that, I still run the stock truck intake. The 223/231* .610/.617 112 cam looks good too. But I'm kinda scared to go that much lift with the Patriot heads, the springs are supposed to be good to.650 lift, but I had some Comp R lifters(Which I'm still running) and Pro Magnum roller rockers with 1.75 ratio and I had valve train problems, instability so I was told. I figured the lift was .602 with those rockers, I put the stock rockers back on and my problem was gone. Anyone using Patriots 5.3 heads with that much lift have any problems.

I think it's because it's too expensive.
