guess i was right lol search button is my friend....
ok, well your gonna have to use your stock cam, timing cover and sproket from 5.3, or swap to the gen 3 style cams, like i did. leaving the stock vvt cam and it will advance it since your truck has no harness connector to control the vvt.
your gonna have to tune out the dod in the pcm, if not possible right away you can swap valley covers, swapping out valley covers is to prevent the motor from going into a limp mode, due to the connector in back of cover not getting a signal. it will start to sputter/misfire setting several dod codes. but the 5.3 valley cover on the 6.0 will read lower oil pressure in cluster, not sure why.
while your at it, swap your 5.3 oil pump to the 6.0, its higher volume than the standard 6.0 pump. i did that on mine and it has good oil presure all the time.
those are the things i went through, and i see your truck is afm. a truck without afm/dod, wont have those problem, but will still have to swap cams out, unless a vendor is selling harness conversions to make the vvt work on trucks that didnt come with it from factory.

I think that is for your VVT cam. You will need to swap cams if i recall. Maybe someone who has done this will verify, but i think you can just use your 4.8 cover and change cam.

DOD is the displacement on demand.. the 5.3 engines have that. its the 4 and 8 cylinder modes.. by deleting that u need to change :
-GM LS7 Lifters
-GM Valley Cover
-GM Lifter Trays
-GM Head Bolts
the vvt is the valve variable timing.. on the 6.0 and 6.2 , you could delete it by what i did..
LS3 crank sprocket
LS3 cam cover
LS3 cam gear
LS3 timing chain
LS3 cam gear bolt.
i changed the vvt lifters as well to Comp RS.. because i heard about many cases of lifter problems on vvt engines when doing a cam swap..
