Wow, alright, a lot of good reading in this thread. Are the truck l76 intakes easier to get than the car intake after GM discontinued them? Didn't mean to thread jack either. To the OP, GL on your increased power quest!

The truck intake for the rectangular port heads is the L92 intake (installed on any truck that has a 6.2L from the factory). The car intake for the rectangular port heads is the L76 intake (installed on cars that have a 6.0L from the factory), the truck equivalent of this engine is the LY6/L96 (6.0L). Niether of these are discontinued.

Maybe I was thinking of the complete intake part # 12590123. They sold for something like $600.00 and came with manifold, fuel rails, injectors, and TB. Anyway, they discontinued it.

There is an L76 car and truck engine. The L96 replaced the L76. The Vortec Max with the 6.0L from 2007-2009 used the L76 truck engine. The L76 in the car was the Pontiac G8 GT for cars in the U.S.. All of the Gen IV 6.0L and 6.2L's except the LS2 use the L92 style cylinder head. For the car intake you can get them from the G8 6.0L and 6.2L, 2010 Camaro with 6.2L, and Corvette's with the LS3. For the truck intake you can look for them from any of the 6.0L and 6.2L's in the NNBS trucks, SUV's, and Express vans. The intakes are still easy to get even if not from GM. Find someone with a G8 or Vortec Max installing a supercharger and buy the intake complete from them.

For the OP, if you decide to swap to the L92 heads & intake manifold, IMHO, it would be in your best interests to go with a custom cam designed specifically to work with the larger ports & valves. Just my $.02. Good luck with whatever you decide. Like others have said, though, the dyno is just numbers. Again, with the torque that thing is making, it has to be WAAAAAY fun.

Zippy's right on here, and you can still get the bare L76/L92/LS3 manifold (car style) GM Part #12590124. Hope that helps

Just done some retuning today. Hesitation is gone. Truck drives much better and pulls even harder, now.

Good thing about this setup is that it drives like stock with torque like a boosted motor, as mentioned above.

My tuner says there is not much left in the tune when you are fighting knock retard on the dyno.

I am happy with the performance right now. Truck has 34" radiator as replacement to cracked stock 28".

Thanks everyone for the advice. Here is my plan.

Short term plan:
Install E-fans
Swap flowmaster with Magnaflow.
Swap to TBSS intake and TB

My question is, am I going to gain much from TBSS intake and TB swap?

I am not convinced that PS LT headers are restrictive at this power level and 10.4CR.

Long Term plan:
Get bigger heads, L92
Get custom camshaft
get L92 truck intake with 90mm DBW TB
Swap to dual 3" pipes with 3" mufflers
