Default Frozen piston rings

Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone ever saw this before...2006 6.0 in a 3500 express van. 60,000 miles.

Van came in with the right side having no compression, left side was fine. pulled right side pistons and the rings were stuck in the grooves so badly that when I did a leakdown test it sounded like a hole in the piston...Left side pistons and rings are fine...

Heres some pics

Any thought would be great!!!!!!

Lack of maintenance? I remember a GM engineer telling me that using 10W-40 can make the rings stick in the ring lands on GM engines, but I dunno.

Plugged or almost plugged cat on one side might cause one bank to run alot hotter than the other bank.

I see this occasionally on motors that run conventional motor oil. It is always customers who do not take care of their engine. Long service intervals, low oil levels, lack of maintenance.
