Default Gonna build a Lq4

Say Fellas, I'm buying a 02 2500HD for various parts, main ones being the 6.0L and the 80E. Plans are to build the motor for my 02 RCSB, the tranny for my06 CCSB Z71. Anyways, any and all suggestions on the motor build will be appreciated. Planning on keeping it NA and streetable, not a DD, but do like show it off. Could use some advice on beefing up the 60E as well Thanks in advance, Nathan

243 heads and a mid 220's cam would work out nicely. for the 60E you could get a built one from one of our sponsors. or you could get the corvette servo and a shift kit.

243s ported and milled and a high 220-mid 230's cam. Its a big motor it can take it.

as for the 60... replace it with an 80

If your getting a 6.0 get the 80 to go with it. 226/230 cam would be best with the 243 heads.

and ditch the 60e, u know the saying, a built 60e is a stock 80e. i do agree, the servo and shift kit will be great for the 80e. i would have someone do it for you tho unless u know a good amount about them. good luck and congrats on the awesome parts!

What about removing the 317's off of the 6.0 and sending them to Richard at WCCH for a StageII treatment? A lot of cam options depending on your goals and what size converter you want to run. If you're going to build the snot out of the 6.0 you might want to consider keeping the 80E behind it

i definately agree with keepin the 80e with the 6.0... ive seen way too many 60e-65e that were built to the max just crap out when a stock 80e with a servos and a shift kit would have handled it w/ no prob. thats just my opinion from past experience. Good luck with what ever you do tho and i cant wait to see your numbers when your done

How about L92 heads and intake/cam of choice? L92 heads are a good buy IMHO.
