Default Good cam or???

Is this a good a cam for me or not?? Arp rod bolts and head bolts, 0.025 gapped top rings, mild p/p 243 ls6 heads, pacesetter LTs, stock intake and TB, aem brute force CAI, a loose 2500 stall more like 3000, 3:73s and likely launching in 4hi.. plan on 200-250hp shot later in it's life... ls6 springs for now, PACs later, and of course hardened pushrods.

It's a custom grind 225/235 duration, 527/535 lift, lobe center 110, centerline 106
( it's on eBay as custom grind Gm asa 225/235 if you need more details... )

dont state if 243 heads are milled. if not and your 5.3 is the original 2000 model, you are losing some compression. dont stated if z71 has tall tires like off road. if so, that 373 may act more like a 342. 2500 stall is too lil. altogether, i wouldnt recommend that cam you are looking at on ebay, not for what you have or even the future. youre better off with a like crane vinci trucker cam. google it and checkout how it was used, what kind of trucks, what kinds of mods, so you can get a better idea of what to expect. good luck with your project.

little bitty 235 65? 16s right now, ive got a set of 265 70 18s to go on it, but ill be going lower profile soon, also bought drop spindles and im going to pull the rear blocks out after i get the lower profile tires.
They quit making the trucker cam though right??? i want it pretty lopey i guess the ole tr220 would be next in line???
this truck will be at the track quite a bit, but id still like some a good bit of low end torque.. what about the 220/224 55?/55? lunati??

im pretty convinced (not 100% as it is a jasper Reman) that the engine is 03/04 thought it didnt really matter??
the 243s have been "resurfaced" just to make sure they were straight but not really milled.
also has PAC .600 springs

They still make the Trucker...give Roger Vinci a call, he'd be more than glad to sell you one.

I don't like the specs of that ebay cam for you, too much duration and too little lift. If you plan on staying with the 2500 converter I wouldn't go any bigger than the trucker, but if you don't mind upping the converter to say 3k or 3200, then something in the 220's, like a TR or TSP would be a nice match. You'll want to lose the LS6 springs though and get something along the lines of PAC 1218's. That Lunati grind that you mentioned should perform similarly to the other 220's that I mentioned, with a similar powerband depending on what LSA and ICL it's ground on.
