Good cam for 5.3 no tq conv
Im new to the forum, What is a good cam and valve springs for an 04 5.3 cc without torque converter with 3.73?. Also, anyone have any results torque an horsepower wise that they can post? I am looking to get the snail to move off the line, it runs ok from a roll, I have HP tuners and would probably need to get some help tuning for the cam as well. If anyone has any cams for sell, let me know.
Thanks.
Thanks.

212/218 low lift is a great perfomer i am running this cam in my cc and couldnt be happier with the results and yes it will work very well with stock stall i recomend some ls6 springs with some 7.4 hardened pushrods just for some peace in mind.

Below is what I have camshaft wise. See the results in my signature. I put it in for towing. Idles nicely at 600 RPM.
208/216 .554”/.561” 114LSA +4 advance (with 1.7 ratio rockers) Comp XE/XE lobes

My baby cam worked great without a converter, and personally I wouldn't go any bigger than my cam without a converter, after driving it both with and without. Down low, it was just a tad better than stock, almost the same, but I only gained 1/10 at the track on my 60' time, which is basically nothing. Now that I have a converter that flashes to about 2900-3k, the truck is so much more fun to drive and launches great (especially in 4wd with traction, in 2wd it just smokes the tires)
