good news bad news...took engine apart
Good news: Bottom end is still good
Bad news: Lifter failed and took out cam
Good news: Get to try a different cam and lifters
Bad news: Have to decide which ones to get
Current Ppecs: P/P 317s Harland Sharp 1.7s, Manley Nextek .660 lift double springs, Manley 7.35 pushrods, REV 1.65/2.02 valves
Broken stuff: Comp high energy lifters, Bullet Racing cam 224/228 114 .570

i had a sending unit issue i think...well might have been from this. but the noise started long after the oil pressure scare. the roller is also loose in the lifter...might have lost a needle bearing...or the failure in the roller may have caused the bearing to go out. either way just happy its not bottom end...
