well that sucks for sure I am using the comp high entergy lifters right now as we speak. Maybe they will hold on until I get started on my new build.

well I was leary about comps lifters from the begining. You have to know were they get there stuff from.... but even the GM's I just installed I questioned. I think Personally when I get around to finishing my turbo 6.0 I will just get the morels for the added peace of mind. My current build right now is basically a new warmed over stock motor so I can maintain DD activites with a little added power.

Keep us posted on what you find!

Ive heard Morel lifters are really nice!!!

but as far as longevity goes, 99% of us guys (even here) dont do anything with these motors that requires more than the Caddy/LS7 lifters.

That is good and sucks.....good thing is your truck will probably pick up more power with a cam that is probably better suited for your new build. I hope you have it worked out quickly

here is the plan:
sending out an oil sample to the lab for analysis....if iron content is high ill tear it down, if not, i might just gamble on it.

the LEP maggie cam is looking quite appealing...but pricey at $430. might just have one ground to similar specs for ~$350

lifters.... Morels would be nice, but at $500...its twice the GM racing units cost.

looks like its time for another garage sale/fundraiser!

That sucks guy. That lifter looks somewhat like my cam failure did. The roller was okay but gauled up like that.
