got the cam out. some photos. id like to give a large round of applause to comp cams for providing me this opportunity to rebuild my engine.

What does everything else look like??? Main Cam Journals and Bearings? How about the Crank journals... Bend any push rods???

luckily, everything else is in great shape. no bent pushrods, all bearings and journals butter smooth.

yeah....also beware clogged cats and broken flexplates... been a shitty spring for my truck. hahaha

Doesn't someone like TCI or ATI make an SFI certified replacement flex plate???

yes, TCI does


but for $60 for the updated OEM piece, I will contineue to run delco. i am concerned that the SFI peice will not bend at all and possibly take out the pump or other essential component. use it as an insurance policy...

wee shall see how it goes....

What cam did you end up with?
