Question a good supercharger cam for a 4.8?

im planning to pick up a magnacharger to slap on my 4.8 and id like to add a cam that would work well with the setup....what would be some suggestions? would it require extra tuning?

LPE's GT2-3 seems to be a all around good FI cam.
I think it would do well in a 4.8L, and it has good idle/drivability characteristics.

I dont think it would absolutely require tuning, but it would definitely help.

Lingenfelter Performance GT2-3 cam was designed for the Magnuson Supercharger in mind.

okay is the Lingenfelter Performance GT2-3 cam actually a roller cam? what else would need to be replaced to make that cam work with my 4.8?

yes, it is a hydraulic roller just like the stock one. It would require LS6 or comp 918 springs and probably 7.400 pushrods.
Check out my sig. It may give you some ideas. My cam requires a custom tune. Mine is a nice cam for the little 4.8 and an everyday driver if it is tuned right. The GT2-3 is probably a little less hassle to tune and deal with due to the wide lobe sep. It maintains a mostly stock idle from what I understand. Also I lost 3lbs of boost with my cam and headers combined and went to a smaller pulley to get it back. I haven't had mine dynoed since I've had more tuning but I'm expecting in the neighborhood of 475rwhp 500tq.

im not knocking this cam at all..it's a good cam but LPE's GT2-3 cam was designed for the vette with a radix that turns upwards of 7000 rpm...i dont plan on spinning my motor that fast so im going with a 220/224 – 580/581 – 115 .... this custom grind should give me everything i want under 6200 rpm's...we will see soon!!! i think the install is the 16th.

powerband should be more like 1600-6600 according to the way Comp specs out thier cams. What made you decide on that cam? When are you getting it installed?
