Default H/C 4.8l in my new DD 2000 RCSB, opinions?

Picked up a 2000 RCSB silvy for my new DD that is getting a v8 swap very soon! Just wanted to see what some of you guys think about what i have so far for the engine setup + some ideas:

-05 4.8l out of a RS-T with 70k
-WCCH CNC stage 2 241 heads
-cam??? 220-224 truck cam?
-ps long tubes
-spin techs
-l92 injectors
-stall?? TB 2800?

So... i want this thing to cam a little so im thinking a 112 LSA on a 220-ish cam, what would you guys suggest for a cam, i still want to be able to tow with it every once in a while....., also how big can you go on the stall and still tow? I have a 05 truck intake or a 2000 non EGR LS1 intake, if i don't lose to much bottom end i'd like to go with the LS1 intake for the look! Open to opinions! Thanks in advance!

head flow numbers:
5.7L LS-1 Head (WCCH #2003) Stage 2 port program. Valve sizes 2.02 in., 1.57 ex. 70cc chamber. Flow ratings with a .600" lift: 293 cfm intake, 223 cfm exhaust. Fits bores up to 3.90".

With the little 4.8, I wouldn't go that big on the cam if you want to tow at all. The heads are good, better choices are there, but not bad for the money. You will need the front drive from the Camaro or make mods to run the car intake on the truck drive. With a 2800 stall, look at the high lift 212/218 cam, the ported heads can make use of the extra lift.

You can tow with a 220 or 224... But i will say. I have a reworked TB stall from Circle-D... WAY WAY WAY too tight. I really wish i had a 36 or 3800 converter behind my 4.8 with a 220/220

DO NOT do an ls1 intake swap on an already gutless 4.8... do a TBSS intake swap

Don't run those big chamber heads on a 4.8 you will lose compression. A cammed 4.8 with no compression would be a terrible dd.

if they're worked over I'm sure they're milled.

if you want to tie up this much money on a 4.8 build. Do a 6.0 swap. A tuned 6.0 with headers and a converter will outrun a built N/A 4.8.

Stock 4.8 heads are 61.15 ccs. To mill a 241 down to that would take a lot. I'm sure those heads flow really well, but you are going to lose some compression. Have you looked at prc 2.5 5.3 heads?

Ok i was thinking that same cam too after looking around, i've done the car intake swaps before i know how much fun they are

Yeah thats what i was figuring, i can get a hold of a NBS/TBSS intake at work so i'll just go that route!

Oh i know, im not going for an all out NA setup, i already have my race/show truck, im getting the 4.8 for free so its getting used lol, honestly im just wanting it to sound mean and get out of its own way, im getting the heads on a trade so just going to put them to use.

Okay my fault, if no compression is lost then those heads would be great
