Default H/C for 6.0 motor with Maggie

Guys,

need a recommendation on a good, dailey drivable combo for my 6.0. It's got a Maggie on it else I'd go with some L92 configuration but the ports won't match up. Motor has about 90K on it and is all Iron. Not sure if it's worth the $ but would like to replace the heads with some lighter aluminum ones with new springs and hardware. Looking for a real nice cam wih a high LSA and good spit. Heard good things about the GTa but was wondering if anyone knows of any package deals.

Thanks

Yeah, some 318's and a GT2-3 or GT7 is a proven combo. I don't know of any advertised package deals....there's usually a set of heads in the classified section.

Stay basic...heads and cam...call Richard @ WCCH and get his opinion...headers & true duals prob help too...smaller pulley and meth...R/
PS...ur Maggie #'s look a little low for a 6.0...I was getting 340+ on my stock 5.3 @ 6lbs w/ P112HH.

Definately stick a set of aluminum heads on that thing and get the tune done.
With the cast heads you need to pull alot of timing to keep it out of spark knock.
If timing high it may be retarded. Do you have any idea what timing is? May be
why #'s look low.

Thats interesting because I have always gotten knock (no matter what advance). I replaed the sensors and still had the same issues. I never heard any audible knock so I ignored it. Timing is set at 18 now but we did go to 21 on the dyno just to see what happened and it actually picked up power. I brought it back down for safety.

Any more suggestions on this? Thinking about stage III patriots and need a matching cam. I can't believe there isn't a nice H/C package for the trucks. I want to replace all lifters, gaskets and timing chain and was hoping to find a package deal.

Richard @ WCCH can put a package deal together for you, whatever you want!
That's who I turn to whenever I need things.
