um a local salvage yard. ill check to see if they got anymore in. i have a buddy who bought 3 6.0s 2 lq4s and a lq9 and shipped them down south to a buddy cause we get pretty good deals up here.. heres the thing about LS motors in montana. nobody is into the new LS stuff. there is only a few guys up here building LS motors most guys around here are still into old school muscle. so the going rate is pretty good for stuff like LS motors.
heck i just picked up a 4x4 4l80 with 90k on it for $400 buck. i thought that was a decent deal. i could be wrong.

i just asked my buddy what he paid for those 6.0s and he said $600 with accs and harness. thats a long block out the door. with everything top to bottom. thats why his buddy didnt mind paying shipping. i think from our warehouse it was like 150 shipping. so like 750 for a motor shipped. pretty good deal.
well, if all pans out well, im makin a road trip to dallas on the 19th to pick up a lq9 from a guy on tech. oil pump went out in it, gettin a smokin deal......out of an 04 sss, ill use the rods and block from it, my ls1 crank is in perfect condition, so now i gotta decide if i want to do a 370, or just go .005-.010 over on it...hmmmmmm

well, after much deciding...ive come to my conclusion on what im gonna do.....
I picked an lq4/lq9 block here locally for cheap, bought a set of lq9 rods and pistons from Joshua(viciousknid) at a great price. i had originally planned on using just the lq9 rods and go with some forged pistons and build a 370. But the more i thought about it, the more since it made building a nice lq9. So here is the plan.....
stock bore lq9
ARP main studs
ARP rod bolts
Polydyn coat the tops and skirts of pistons
Polydyn main and rod bearings
New rings of course
as far as my PRC stg 2.5s......i dont think i can put em on this motor...im not comfortable with the compression with an lq9 with 60cc chambers. So for now im gna
get some stock 243s and run those until i can buy some PRC 2.5 ls6 heads. i think this setup should run good. I already have my TSP 1 7/8 headers, PI 3600 stall, Performabuilt lvl2 60e, 4.10s and trutrac, and trickflow udp. I sold the TQR v2, gna do a custom grind.....228/236 59x/6xx 113+2
