Default having 6.0L LQ9 forged...should I stroke it to 408?

I have scoured the forums on this one, but my questions have not been fully answered. I would like to have around 600rwhp. I have a 2003 Escalade AWD 6.0L. I have a local shop (www.ryansperformance.com) that is going to do all the work. I am looking for a vehicle that runs reliably, and is a total sleeper. Street driveability is the utmost of importance (only a mild cam, and semi-quiet supercharger/turbo). I would rather lose power than to compromise streetability. At WOT, all streetability be damned, but nothing must show when cruising. I will need forged components to obtain my power requirements, but do I seriously need to stroke out the 6.0L to 7.0L? What are the pros/cons? I want to keep the setup under $8500 not including the turbo/supercharger whichever I decide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you wont go from a 6.0L to 7.0L you will go from a 6.0L to 6.6L-6.7L ( not sure on exact specs)

are you planning on 600rwhp on motor or with the FI too

As for the size: 408=6.7L, 427=7.0L

You might want to give nitrous a try, it can be done stealthy quite easily, and at a lower cost than a turbo/SC setup.

I don't know why, but I'm not a fan of nitrous. I've always liked the all-the-time power of a supercharger or turbo setup. The power numbers I'm aiming for are with either the supercharger or turbo. Either way, a 4L80E is already planned. I just didn't want to bring up too many topics in this one thread. Can a 7.0L...err 6.7L idle as well as the 6.0L does(for the power I want)? Is the extra torque/driveability worth the tradeoff?

Wow...that sounds exactly what I want. Got more specifics other than your sig?

Thanks

im planning on 700+ awhp with a blower on a 370 too. the blower is also very quiet or at least was , the new blower has a bit more whine to it but not a roots style whine , its a centrifugal. but when im wot it just sounds mean. i havent got the 370 finished yet but it will idle tame and sound close to stock. the hard part is adapting an 80e to our awd setup. a 408 will get you more than what you want. the only reaosn i went for a 370 over a 408 is i can boost the crap out of the 370 and rev it up a bit higher. the 408's bottom end torqe would kill a 65e in a matter of passes and also could create a traction problem.
