Default head choice and opinions needed.

I have a Lq4/th400 stalled that I originally set up for boost.
it has ARP studs, rod bolts ect. Medium cam, turbo gapped rings, UD pulley ect.
Right now I have ported, polished 317 heads with chamber work, and milled .010.
I cant go turbo for a while, And I have a set of 706 truck heads also. But they are stock. Which ones should I run for best performance? I will be running stock manifolds, and have it SD tuned. 3.42 gears on a 30'' tire. In a 4k# truck.
I know My ported heads flow way way better, but would the small combustion chamber yield better performance?

the 706's have pretty good flow I think the increaced compression could get you some more power.

Do you have someone that does all of your head work? If so you could just have them put bigger valves in them.

Would the flow of the smaller intake valve openings have any affect in HP or Torque?

Ran out of money. And need the motor in, as the v6/tranny is going out. I thought about it, but when I do get money for turbo, Ill put the 317's on (If I choose to run the 706)

You think? The 317's are already on and torqued down. But If the 706 will make better power ect... I will run them. You think the good flow and Lower compression will make more power than High compression and lower flow?
I dont have a clue.
Keep the 2 cents coming guys.
