Default Head confusion causing a Head ache!

I have a 2002 silverado ecsb 4x4. Dropped 2" rear with 30"tires. I am looking for the best set of heads for this truck. I am running a custom grind bullet cam 226/232 @ 0.050 with .610/.610 lift 110+4 LSA, 95mm typhoon intake long tubes, no muffler. Which heads has best flow numbers and work best. I dont care about ported flow numbers i want stock numbers. Potential head numbers: 243, 799, 317, 821, 241, 8452. Any comments on these heads?

i was looking to do 243/799 milled to a 59cc and port work with acid etched intake ports. So has everyone had good luck with the 243/799s?

Since you asked what the "best" heads for a 5.3 are..I would say a set of the 205cc genx TrickFlows would be the "best" heads for your setup (If you plan on staying 5.3) They would work well with the larger lift Bullet cam you have...You are definately going to need a higher stall converter..

And tied for 2nd place would be the tea or prc 5.3 cnc heads..maybe take a look at the sdpc ones as well ?? all imho of course

the best stock head would be a 243
only down fall is a 64.45cc combustion chamber, must be milled if used on a 99-06 5.3

A ported head or aftermarket head is a whole new ball game
