Patriot Vortecs are 180cc

If I remember right there was one company making a high flow spider, not sure if they still do. And no I am not talking about the Multec II injectors.

Wester's Garage has a flow matched spider assembly for the 1996 - 2000 Vortec 5.0 & 5.7L CPI trucks, called the Black Widow and is said to flow 35lbs/hr (stock is 22 lbs/hr) and support up to 440 crank hp.

That was it! I though the stock poppets are 19lb/hr?

They may be, as I don’t recall and was in this case I was just regurgitating what they were advertising.

hmm. looks like high flow poppets, not multec II style unfortunately. Guess it would still work ok. I've got 220K on the stock poppets on my 98C1500.
