Default Help on heads

Need some advise on wat heads to get for my 5.3 im think between the prc 220 cc or the 243 p&p this is for my 5.3 FBO with 228/232cam on 3600 stall. Im in the process of adding an 100 shot so i dont know which ons will help me out better. Hopefully yall can help lead in the right direction thanks..

If you have the 862 heads like I do they have a smaller combustion chamber than a 243, Machine the 862's, p&p, have the larger LS1 Intake valves installed, mill 0.30, bring compression up a bit, And you'll have a good set of heads for that engine..

Thats the problem a couple of weeks ago one of the bolts from the headers broke inside one of the heads and i took it to shop to fix it and they just put a 706 head on it so im runnin a 706 and on the other side its a 862 so thats the reason why i just want new heads

WCCH offers a StageI 5.3 head that I've personally seen show about a 20hp gain on the dyno...I'd give Richard a call and see what they have to offer There's a link to the right>>>

the 862 and the 706 are the same head with different casting numbers

go with the prc stg 2.5 5.3 heads. i just put them on my sl1, and it screams now!

Well i talked to my tuner about that and he told me that there is a very slight difference between those heads
