Hit a snag. Piston "dot" correlation to the flat side of the rod....

Well, no offense but, most stealerships ive been to were a bunch of tools. It was the reason i started working on my own truck. In any case that the dealership will see is a simple remove and replace. And they just install the piston/rod assy. dot forward (if they dont just put in a new motor). They arent gonna go to the machine shop and have pistons pressed on and off the rod. Its easier and more cost effeciant to rip someone off by charging them for a new piston/rod assy. BTW im not saying by any means that you are a tool lol. Is it stated some where though that the rods dont matter?
