hmmm, yeah with 60,000 on it, I havent done a fuel filter yet.... gonna do that tonight.
Damn cam just looks so purty sitting there....

Mine did the same as yours, kinda has a lopey idle. When you step on it, it bogs down then slowly picks up.

Called my buddy who works for a GMC dealer, ordered a belt, delco plugs and get this he cant find a fuel filter on my rig? I'll climb under there tomorrow and look but anyone else heard this? I thought I had one under there from my many oil changes I thought I saw one....

04+ trucks don't have a serviceable filter, it's actually in the tank incorporated with the fuel pump module assembly. It's not recommended to replace it unless there's a problem with it.

Maybe early production 04's? I guess that's possible...if your truck did have an external fuel filter, it would be on the driver's side fuel line, kinda behind your seat, a few inches further back from the ABS actuator.

if your gonna be making alot of power won't you need new injectors anyway? just buy some shorty 42's. and before you do the install clean out the rails.
