How much HP does a cam add

It adds ninety-gajillion horsepower!!! I know mine did!
Seriously, it depends on the cam. Just as important as 'how much' however, should be 'where does a cam add power.'
My cam adds about 15 RWHP across the band, from about 1000 RPM to 6000 RPM. Toward the end of the powerband, it adds about 20 RWHP. This is without tuning. I'm sure more could be eeked out of it with some good tuning.
Other cams can add as much as 50 HP or more, but the more power you get from a cam, the higher up the powerband the power usually starts. If you have a 224/224 cam (instead of my 205/212), you may have to wait until 2500 or 3000 RPM to get power, but it will be more.
I'll let the other guys answer install questions.
