I was running 61X on the intake and 62X on the exhaust. Your duration should favor the exhaust by at least a 10* split as with the lift. I think anything under 600 lift on a rec. port head is a waste of money...IMO.

[QUOTE=Matt@Texas-Speed;4799516]Just curious as to what testing or data you have done to support those statements. They are contradicting to the engine dyno testing we've done here![/QU
I have run Bullet and Comp grinds with this concept in the grinds. Both with great success. 496rwhp with the Bullet and 504rwhp with the one from Comp. Got a few grinds thru WEB that I have in the garage needing testing, but sold my test mule. This was all done on a 11.5 to 1 370ci. L92's were only lightly ported on the exhaust. Titanium valve train and ferrera in the heads. Stage 3 ported L76 with 92mm TB and 39lb injectors. Not interested in sharing my data. Just interested in enjoying it. Lots of capable minds out there doing coming up with GREAT results.....
I believe the TSP 1 7/8th headers are what made the difference though...

Average power has been better with less split, which is not surprising at all. With the extra split, we see a few extra HP at peak but it typically isn't until close to 5000rpm+ that you see it.
As for lift, retainer to seal/guide clearance is crazy and you CAN run over .900" valve lift on most spring kits. As for what you need, it somewhat depends on your intake manifold and heads. Stock GM LS3/L76 intake flows for crap and anything over about .620" or so, you don't gain any more real power. With an LS3 FAST (as much as people want to hate it) and a good set of ported heads that do not back up after .620", you can run more.
Cam selection has always depended on the entire combo, still does
