i have a lq9 w/ 220/224 .581 112 , 44#ers, lts, and a tune. how much hp diff w/ a set of stage 2 241s vs tsp's 2.5 5.3s?

i can get 241s for $480(katech) bare and swap over my valves and springs or ...
$1200 for the 5.3s(tsp) assembled

 

ported 241s for $480??? That can't be right.

You compression with the 5.3s from tsp will be well north of 11:1, with a dynamic compression likely above 8.5-6:1. You are aware of this correct?

I would go with the 5.3s myself. They are a proven head.

 

He is refering to the Left over clearance sale Katech is having. Katech has some old stock cnc ported heads laying around that they are trying to move out... Almost bought a set my self, Just not in the budget right now...

 

yeah im aware of the 11.1 compression i run 93 already. i also know the tsp's are a proven head (ls1tech combo #1). im just wondering how many ponies ill be giving up w/ the 241s. half the price sounds pretty good to my tight *** wallet.
