im pretty sure its stuffed into the crank.Theres no pulley or bolt on there
I did that will pulling a crank pulley off my old 4.8 this summer lol. Luckily I have no plans to use mine. IE, my pulley puller wasnt long enough and i didnt have a crank bolt

I'd guess that the threads in the crank are already messed up a bit. But they'll probably clean up.
I'd get a slidehammer, and weld a nut onto the extension that you can grab with the slidehammer. Load the crank/socket extension with penetrating lube, and go at it.
If it breaks off in there, grab a center punch, mark it dead center, and drill out the broken piece. Start small, and work your way bigger a little bit at a time.

LOL, half you guys are missing the part about it not being a socket.
Its an extension, jammed inside the crank. Its not a socket stuck on a crank bolt.
Im guessing if its in there that good the threads are probably a little fucked up inside the crank.

Yep, I understood the problem, and agree that the threads are gonna be marred up a bit. But it's probably only the first 1/2" or so, and he could run a tap through it to clean it up.
