with a good tune, and matching supporting mods you can run just about any cam you want IMO. i ran 226/226 on a stock converter with my LS1 for a while and noticed no ill down low effects....reminds me...ap2002 ran 12.41 with his stock head, stock intake LQ4 with a 226/226 112+4 cam. my truck with the LS1 ran 12.49 with the cam with truck manifold on the LS1 before the heads. after heads i went 12.19 @110 with the LS1. both of us only had 3200 converters.
Yeah but you guys get DA's down there that most of us only dream about. My truck went 13.08 on a stock truck intake with stock ducting and .020" milled 243's with the Patriot 225/229 cam. That was on a 4200' DA night though.
