Default If you want beehive springs.....

After doing a lot of research and calling around I think I have found the most durable, best value valve spring. Lunati 75818. They are manufactured by PAC. The exact same spring as the PAC 1518. Verify by phone from PAC. Ovate wire spring made of PACaloy and nitride treated. Can be had from Summit for 235.95. I installed them they are quiet, look good and survived a 7k over-rev when my trans broke with no issues.

Yea, I've heard that the Lunati's are PAC's also, they seem to be the best bet in a beehive out there. Comp should just give up with the 918's and sub-contract PAC to make their springs for them

I've seen at least two threads with brand new silver Comp 918's broken in half, it was a few months ago though so I can't remember who posted it. There's probably a thread or two with some broken updated Comps floating around LS1Tech...

I wish I went with the 1518's over the 1218's. Can't beat the latter for $122 though.

I remember reading that the ones that SDPC sells as their own actually are not PAC's, even though a bunch of us thought that they were...
