Guess I imagined I broke the silver 918. I am sorry but it looks F%$#ING broke to me. Should have done this in the first place. New duals, after my silver 918 didn't break.

Was running a low duration cam with a lift of .574 int and .572 ext. I have a friend that owns a '04 GTO and he is running the sam cam with the yellow Z06 springs. Funny how a stock spring can handle the cam but an aftermarket spring can't.

which cam was it? the aggressive lobes have a part to play as well not just lift, dont forget to if aftermarket springs are not broke in right and you dont let them heat up before hammering on it they are prone to breaking, no matter which spring (aftermarket) it is.

The lobes are not aggressive. The cam was in my second truck and it is just a daily driver, so didn't want a monster super aggressive cam just a little make a noise cam. My monster cam is in my play truck. Springs were broke in and they were never hammered on. I let me truck warm up every morning, at lunch, and when I leave work. The springs had no reason to break. They were not abused or anything. The truck was never over 5000 rpm's at anytime either. If you go to any car forum, like Corvette forums, LS1GTO forums, or LT1LS1 forums you will see where these springs are breaking.

I would but when I bought the 918's I sold a new set of Z06 springs to another member on her and shipped them in my comp springs box. I would not think he has the box still but will try and find out. But here is when I got them from Summit.
