3 bolt? And is it possible the noise I hear on cold start ups is piston slap and not lifter noise?

So just let it warm up until it goes away, that is what I have been doing but I just thouht it was lifter noise....well now I don't know if I want to tear into yet. Bit If I get this cam will I see some gains over what I have now?

I'm pretty sure the L33 cam is the same as your stock. I'd go with the 224

That better come with a gallon of Vaseline for 200 bucks, it aint worth it and wont gain you anything. Get on the classified and find you a used cam and pushrods and buy some new springs. Depending on the lift of your cam you can get buy with the cheap ls6 springs. I ran ls6 springs on my tr224, it went through 3 bottles a week sprayin 150 shot spinning 7000, never had a problem.

I don't think the gain would be worth the time/money, but if your dead set on an l33 cam I'll sell you mine when it comes out in the next week or so. Anybody know the actual specs of the l33 cam?

it's been posted before and IIRC is similar to the LS6 cam but can't remember the specs.
