i have an 06 silverado rcsb with the 5.3 in it....i was wanting either the 6.0 or the 6.2...i seen some sites said i might have the 58 n others said i have the 24.....i dont know what one.... but is there an 24 6.2 out there or just 58 reluctor wheel?

1st off, all the 6.2L’s would have come from the factory with a 58X reluctor wheel. Some of the confusion starts by GM making the switch from 24X to 58X in ’05 in some of their line up, however the trucks still used the 24X crank signal through the ’07 Classic models and made the switch with the GMT-900’s. Most generally accept that the switch over was from the Gen III to the Gen IV engines and for the most part it is true, but not in all cases, as some of the earlier LS2’s still came equipped with the 24X reluctor wheel. In the aftermarket world, the engines can be set up with the proper reluctor wheel for your vehicle; you just need to make sure to let the supplier know which you need.

oh ok...then **** the 6.2 to **** to worry bout..i stick with the 6.0 that was pplaning to put in it...so if i get the 6.0 n put the 4l80 in it,how hard would be to change the wiring harness oor just get 80e harness from somewhere?my cuzin did the 80e swap,but i wasnt the to c how it was done...

wiring for an 80 swap is fairly easy. You have to add a vss sensor which requires 2 new wires to run to the pcm and then there is a short harness you can buy for the round connector that just goes between the original and the trans. If you wanna skip the connector harness there are write ups on how to move the wires in the original to make it work.
