Here's what I came up with

364 cid
10.5:1 compression
303 cfm@551 intake lift
278 advertised duration - 216 duration@.050
.551 valve lift
111 ICL
4700 lbs.

501 HP
396 RWHP
Shift RPM 6163 (I was thinking 6200...pretty darn close)
Max RPM 9038
1/4 mile ET: 13.44

When I hit submit, a window popped up that stated "The heads you have selected may be large for your cam compression numbers". I tried the calculator at 11:1 cr and 12:1 cr and got the same message. Maybe I'll try some different lifts just for kicks.

I was actually concerned about my WCCH stageII 317's outflowing my cam choice, but Richard at WCCH assured me that I'd be fine, and I'll take his word over the online calculator. I noticed on WCCH's website that the StageII 317's flow the best between .550-.575 valve lift, and my cam has .551 lift, so I'm thinking that it's a good match

This calculator is pretty cool...

*EDIT* Lowering the head flow CFM down to 267 made that pop up window go away...
Seems pretty reasonable.

The way I spec a cam is to find the best lift on the head (say .575) and then make the cam lift slightly more than that (say .585). That way, for each cam revolution, you are hitting max flow twice, and generally speaking, max flow on a head isn't a cliff-like dropoff, so you get max flow - great flow - max flow as the cam goes to max lift, and then begins to fall again.

I'd listen to Richard over any online calculator AND over me! In fact, I have done so many times lol.

Yea, I take Richard's word as the gospel...I am curious how the 232.4cc intake runners will affect my bottom end torque though. I know that bigger ports slow air velocity down and move peak torque up, so hopefully it won't be too bad. I have a cam that should be torquey in an LQ9 (216/224 .551/.551 115), and planning a 2600 converter...I hope that my big intake runners aren't going to be too mis-matched with the rest of the set up.

Sorry to get the thread too far off track...

Hey Billy, I think those heads will be perfect. I wouldn't worry about it for a nano-second.

Pretty cool calculator! Using my current setup, it is pretty close with a 11.51 1/4 which is right inline with my 7.40 1/8 mile. Just going from 10# of boost to 15# takes it from 596RWHP to 701RWHP with a 1/4 of 10.87. I sure hope that is accurate.

I dont know if I was doing it wrong but just changing the setup I was messing with(LQ4/LS6 cam/Radix) from stock head CFM numbers ~265 to the 305 that the WCCH stage II 317s have it went from like 584 to 74Xhp, somethings not quite right

LOL, man I'm sure Richard would love it if he could claim 150+ HP increase from WCCH's stageII 317's I think I'd have to do an 80E swap if that were the case!
