A little math help...

Comp spec'd it huh? Single pattern cam and a supercharger...am I missing something? At least they got the LSA right. (unless the whipple chargers are different than what I'm used to? Boost isn't my specialty) Actually, that cam is pretty much a TSP 228r on a 115

Yep, they did...there were a few companies who were bidding to buy them out, but after they closed their doors, they were quickly bought and reopened, and many of their former employees were able to keep their jobs. I can't remember the name of the company that bought them offhand, but I believe that it was S&B or S&S Cycles or something like that. Scorpion was one of the companies who really looked like they were going to buy Crane, but they backed out at the last second. (kinda glad that they did as I've seen more than one of their rocker arms in pieces)
I had a thread going about a year ago, with links to the daily/weekly articles that were outlining the Crane saga. Not sure if the links will still work, but I'll see if I can find my old thread anyway

Well it wasn't my thread, but I did paste some info into it, and it was "S&S Cycles" who bought them and reopened the doors. Can't believe that it was over 2 years ago already, man time flies!

I remember talking to Roger Vinci when the whole deal was going down, and all that he had left on the shelves were a few bumpsticks, some retainers but no springs, etc. Both Crane and Vinci's websites are up and running and they're still selling parts, so I have to assume that all is well.
I know that Roger held a top position with Crane, and has been a big part of their R&D...hopefully the new owners are keeping his practices and policies in order
