You can do the TR224 also! Same cam im about to get.

Heres a clip of a buddy of mines truck with a TR224 (with 114lsa) and Pacesetter Lts/ORY through corsa exhaust

But if you aren't going to get a converter I wouldn't recommend this cam

i just didnt like the cam at all (But it did sound okay). I switched to the cam in my sig and it actually felt alot better!!

You should call comp cams, that's what I did and I love my cam! Tell them what you got and what you are trying to achieve. I am positive they will have what you want.

A short duration tight lobe center cam will give you that old school chopy idle. A cam with duration in the 218* @.050'' range on a 108* will give you a good chop and not need to rev 6500000RPM to make good power.

Comp Cams XR259. Brute low end, strong mid range and it'll pull all the way to 6000 in the 5.3L. If you want it to buck, chop and lope around at idle, lower the target idle speed with the tune. Don't pick a camshaft solely based on the sound it will make; find a cam to optimize the setup and play with the exhaust routing and mufflers to get the sound you're after instead. Picking a cam for sound is like bringing home a stripper from the club and expecting marriage material.
