Leave the cam bet your making more power and faster in a 1/4 mile do not get wrapped up about boost your seeing CFM is where its at. Your now slipping the belt with a 3.4 6 ribs are good to about a 3.7 on a P1 procharger from what I have seen. We couldnt get more then 7psi with a 3.4 on 6 rib p1 went to a 8rib and got 9-10psi with a much bigger cam then your on a 6.0 233/234 112lsa at our 4500 high elevation.

Typically you can advance the camshaft at the crankshaft sprocket up to eight degrees with an aftermarket gear-set. Doing so alters valve timing somewhat and will increase your dynamic compression. If your dynamic compression increases, so should your boosted compression. To play with the what-if's of this use the attached MS Excel spreadsheet with plug-in variables for your engine and camshaft. The spreadsheet file is within the zip file.

Wow that is interesting you could pull the cam re-race him then you would know if it the tranny or the cam. I dont know enough about 80's to give advice I do recall seeing several post where guys slowed down after a 80 swap due to different gearing in the tranny.

The cam didn't help you with bottom end.
Yea after 80e swap the motor didn't want to do anything with boost in till i got in around the 3k but it would come on hard after that.
