Default LPE gt2-3 cam

Just got done installing this cam on my truck. Havnt got on it yet just putted around gonna change the oil tommorow.

But i was wondering without putting this on a dyno how high should I shift this thing. Stock rod bolts and pushrods. Also with a 125 shot. So motor and nitrous shift points. just looking for a good starting point.

threw longtubes, 2.5" duals, X-pipe and flowmaster 40's it is very mild. I havnt got on it yet but I love the cam. My truck is idleing at 450 and you still dont KNOW it is cammed. if you listen for it it is their. It has great off idle torque and accel for around town.

Shift at 6600 to 6700rpm that's about 300 to 400 rpm past your peak power, even with the power falling off you are making more power than the low rpms in the next gear.4L60Es have big gear splits and you'll make a higher average horsepower with the higher shifts.

My dad has that cam in his 02 Z71 5.3 and yes it is as smooth as stock like they say.It pulls nice though after about 2800RPM all the way to 6200 where I have it shifting at.

You guys may have missed it, he has stock rod bolts. I think you'd be better safe than sorry. I'd say 6200 no more...unless you change the bolts. Later
