Default LQ9 6.0 with L92's

I have a 99 Silverado weighs 4500lb's factory.Would L92 heads and intake help me out alot,worth doing ? And would my cam work well also ?

Mods are
LQ9 6.0 out of 05 Escalade,with stock 317 heads

Comp 224/234 duration,581/598 lift,112 LSA

1 3/4 longtube headers,with 3" y-pipe,single 50 series flowmaster

Brute force cold air intake

ported stock throttle body

tuned by hp tuners software

.078 nitrous jet,around 200hp

On stock fuel pump,scary huh




Other mods to truck

electric fans

28/10/16 hoosier full slicks

caltrac bars

3.73 gears with eaton posi

3200 circle d stall,with built 4l60

Your cam will leave alot on the table. Mine does and it is bigger than yours. A 114 LSA and int. duration at or over 230 would be ideal.

if you want to pick up some power you could find some ported LS6 heads and a new fast 102 or just install a new 102 and leave your heads on

or if you want L92's id get some WCCH L92's or TEA and a fast 102 to match them and if you change heads its time for a new cam too

i have a complete l92 intake assembly with fuel rails and injectors gaskets too for 275 only 8k on it all

Whats the est mileage mpg on an lq9 with l92's??? Im planning on the same build??

dont coun t TEA out they make a beautiful L92 i had mine touched up by Brian Tooley same with my FAST 102

L92 truck intake swap would be cheap and pretty easy

LS3 intake swap is expensive and takes a bit of modification.

Both setups would yield great results, but it would be easier to slap a pair of good cathedral heads and a LS6 or Fast intake manifold with a 90mm+ TB on your current setup.
I have two vehicles with these heads. Ported and unported. That cam ain't gonna get it done.....

I like my set-up (see sig) running some decent #
started to dial in the tuning and I can see it has alot more in it.
