LQ9 cam help
Hi everyone.., i would like to know which cam is better and weather or not this cam is good.. i ordered a cam from Comp 2 weeks ago + valve springs..
cam link > http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...csid=1096&sb=2
the person who will install my cam is a russian professional, and expected a 40hp on wheel , the truck has a K&N air filter + tci clutch.
i talked to another person from qatar who has a garage and modifies american cars and said that this cam may give u 15-20hp.
*note* those predictions where made with only the cam and valve springs.. do u guys recomend JBA shorty headers for my car..
Best Regards!

you gave us as little information as possible . . .
what's the truck/car used for and what are some realistic goals that you want out of it . . .
are you just looking for a choppy idle, or a little more power up top, and use the stock converter ?
Shorty headers are very close to stock manifolds, get the long tubes if you want to see a big difference.
. . . there's lots of threads on this already . . .
