What is the bore difference on those pistons? The whole idea of it was to create a lightweight internal motor to spin the hell out of it. What is the C/R?

The Australian series motors are sick. I did not know that though. I will look into that. The idea is to use as much stock as possible. Basically readily available parts so it is less expensive if I decide to go this route.

Anyone have any links to videos? I cannot find ANY!!!

The biggest reason for this combo tho is it offers the lightest stock internals and lightest overall combo and with the crank, rod combo I believe I could rev it out to 8k easy with power. And if I order stiffer springs and hardened push rods maybe even hit 8.5k... But I know the lm7, ls2, etc make power there but this combo will rev up faster

So I was reading that in order to do this I would need a custom ignition set up. Not in the market to even think about this set up if that is true. Does the stock ls1 ignition only have tables truly up to 8k? If so I might just destroke the ls2 or 6.0iron(cheaper of course) instead of the ls1. with the rod and crank combo I could still turn 7.5k easy and have more options for heads and such to flow more at that level without machine work!

Wow, well I might just start with the basic swap I was going to do into my Toyota and build a motor to go in after I have all the kinks worked out. I will keep doing my research. What year did the 6.2 start coming out?

I believe it came out in 07 when they went to the NNBS but only in the Denali's and Escalade's. It was then offered in the regular trucks starting in 2010.

Someone else can chime in to confirm, this is just what I remember from doing some light research.

Just did some research on the motor itself. It is a very nice setup. To much going on for me technology wise with the later models. A guy is selling the whole motor minus pcm and ecu for 3500 down the road with 54k miles on it. Just out of my price range when I can buy and boost the 4.8 for less with a tranny

You will need badass heads and a stout valvetrain to make power up there. The stock pcm only supports 8K
