Default LS1 Hot Cam?

I have this cam now. Best time to date is 13.77@98mph N/A. The truck is an 06 Sierra Regular cab long bed. It has 3.73s Yank 3000 TT, pacesetter shorty headders, single exhaust and the usual KAI and what not. It is a 5.3. What would be a better cam ? I am puttin 4.10s in and longtubes as well. Off the subject, how do I put my avatar on?

I think that a TR220, or TSP220 would slip right in to your current and planned mods...not sure what valve springs that you're currently running, but you'll probably want to upgrade those also, especially if you go with the TSP220 which has .581 lift. Guys have run the TR220 and TR224 with the LS6 yellow springs, but a set of PAC 1218's are good insurance, especially if you upgrade again in the future

As for your avatar, you go to user CP and take it from there...it will say "edit avatar" over to the left. There should be a sticky in the "welcome to pt.net" section that has info on editing avatars, sigs, etc.

*EDIT* BTW, welcome to the site! You'll find a lot of great folks willing to help and a ton of info here

good to see you joined this site man. im running the pac dual springs that came as the more expensive kit from tsp. comes with dual springs over singles and titanium retainers which lighten the valvetrain a little.

Yeah bro, Get that Titan!! Which cam did you run? I forgot. It seems your tuck makes more power than mine. You were a 10th off me in El Paso with a heavier truck on 22s. So it would seem your truck makes more HP/Torque than mine.

I do run the LS6 yellow springs. I have a new set of LS2 springs sitting at home. And diffrence between the 2? Whats the fastest someone has gon with a 5.3 and an LS1 hot cam?

the specs for the thunder racing or tr220 are 220/220 .551/.551 with either a 112 or 114 lsa and the texas speed or tsp220 is 220/220 .581/.581 with your choice of lsa. i have the tr220 on a 114lsa it doesnt chop near as much as a ls1 hot cam but it has a broad torque curve and is a great all around cam

he could run a comp 212/218 low lift i think that would be a great cam for a 4.8
