Got some new ls6 heads on my buddys truck milled .030 and i was wondering if we can get away using stock length push rods. Its an Lq4 with 222/222 cam

If the heads are milled your gonna want to take that from the length of the pushrod. I wouldnt recommend running the stock pushrods. Maybe someone can chime in who has done this before but me I would just order some correct length push rods. You might could get away with it but risk messing something up for a cheap part like that isnt worth it to me. Do it right the first time.

Best way to be sure would be to grab a pushrod length checker.

I've got a set of LS6 heads milled .030 and I'm going to be using a .040 thickness gasket with LS7 lifters, I'll be running 7.350 PRs... The guys at TSP said I wouldn't run into a problem. What lifters are you planning on running?

Stock lifters for now, wish we had ordered ls7's before head swap

7.4s might be a bit long, most pass them off for stock, but they are a c%^T hair longer.. I would run a set of 7.3 or .35's. Best bet is to get a checker.. But stock head gasket, lifters a 7.3 might be the way to go..

with stock lifters and all im gunna say 7.375s but it would be best to measure them and no exactly what you need....

Update, well we now have bad valve-train noise with 7.375 heads suppose to be milled .030, using stock head gaskets and stock lifters. dunno whats wrong? freaken comp 7.375 look longer than the stock pushrods, im clueless now!

Stock pushrods are like 7.38 something.. Measure them to be sure what you need

stock is indeed 7.38" common misconception they're 7.4"

My heads are milled about .020" and I used 7.375" pushrods with the stock cam and now 7.4" pushrods with an aftermarket cam (smaller base circle supposedly). No odd noises with either.
