As of today the new engine has about 300 miles on it, having some fuel supply problems when over 4k on the tach. Misfire data shows misfires on all cylinders, changed fuel filter and now only shows misfires on #3 and #8 cylinder. Later today the plan is to swap the two injectors and clean the fuel rail and replace the regulator.

Searching PT shows that many guys have fuel problems on flex fuel trucks....

I'm a big fan of higher compression, those motors always seem to perform well. I loved the instant power of my 11.3:1 418, too bad it became a mosquito killer too

I really need to buy tuning software, I have a brand new set of LS2 injectors that match the connectors, fuel rail, and intake on the Burb but it floods big time hahaha. Anyone in DFW metro area have a flex fuel rail or injectors I can try out?

One of my customers (I do repair work for car dealers) had a complete intake in the scrap pile. Before swapping the rails I took it apart to clean and drain old gas, swapped to the burb and all misfires are gone.

The 2000 spec LS1 camshaft is going to come out, power band feels like it don't start till about 2300 rpm, since highway cruise speed is around 1900 rpm I'm going to install the 206/212 comp with a 800-5800 operating range.

The wide LSA/huge exhaust bias cams suck down low, I'm really not sure why so many people like them.

This cam was supposed to be for my S10, it was a brand new cam that I already had so I figured it was worth a shot to try it out.

I think it will be a great cam for my s10 since its light and im not building it to break and land speed records

Just got back this morning, new engine did great! Oddly it gets better MPG at 80 than at 70 mpg.... Forgot to take the 2nd picture but 250 miles at half tank and 537 miles at empty.

Total miles on new engine.

The Suburban hit 226k just before we got home at 530am this morning. Still has factory transmission!
