so you didnt change the filter at all? what was the round about cost for the oil/filter change? with maybe a better air filter and maybe a oil filter change(in the middle) it might be worth it in the long run on a DD to do this...?

Nope, I didn't do the filters since originally Amsoil claimed 12mo/25k oil and filter change interval, but they later issued a bulletin pertaining to Toyota only, stating to change the filter at Toyota's recommended interval. I can't remember the prices...but if I were to guess, maybe it was about 6-8 or so bucks a quart, and maybe 10-12 bucks for the filter? Both of the Toyota's take 4 quarts, so maybe 40-50 bucks for each oil change? (I'll check Amsoil's site later for pricing and edit the post). I think that it is definitely cost effective to use the Amsoil extended interval oil and filter on a daily driver, not to mention it's helpful if you do all of your family's maintenance not to have to crawl under their cars so often lol. I'm tempted to just change the oil filters on both my mother and wife's cars and save me some work, but I have enough oil to do both of them so I figure that I might as well, just to be safe (I'll try not to be too lazy for a change ha). Both cars are also getting new air filters, PCV valves, and throttle body service. Next oil change for each they'll get Seafoam...I was going to do that to the Matrix this weekend, but forgot to pick up the Seafoam when I was at both AutoZone, and again at Napa this morning lol (scatter brain )

My prices from the last post were a little off...the 5w-30 that I used it $9.10 a qt, and the filter for the Toyotas is $16.00. The filter for our trucks is $16.50 (or $16.65, forgot already lol), so for my mom and wife's cars the oil change cost $52.40, and for our trucks it would be about $71 (6qt+oil filter)

Bringing it back up to the top again as there has been some discussion about Amsoil's 1yr/25k oil change lately
