Default Nasty Camshaft

Hey im am about to do a cam swap and i want expirienced advise. List of mod either already on or waiting for cam swap are as follows... LS1 intake, aftermarket injectors (not sure on lb), 94mm TB, TB spacer, EGR delete, TB coolant line delete, 799 heads w/60cc cumbustion, patriot dual spring behive valve springs(will order what ever is needed), hardened push rods, under drive pullys, granatelli MAF, FIPK intake with custom shrouding to bring in air in front of condenser, bully dog triple dog now will HPtune after install, 3.73 gears w/posi, Long tube tuned headers, high flow cats you can see directly through and no mufflers, 300a alternator, factory stall (dont want to install some insane stall), NGK Laser irodium spark plugs, 9mm plug wires.

I am looking for a cam with a nasty idle for the red light effect. I like cams with higher lifts around .600+/- and LSA around 112ish. I was told with my mods the cam is all i need to wake it on up. I might even do a 50 shot of crack to it.

You a gonna hate that stock converter with a cam any bigger than a 212/218 or a 216/220, which isn't gonna have that "red light effect" don't waste your time/money on an ls1intake, tb spacer, or k&n...

Yes, you have a bit to read up on. Your not going to have a nasty cam, with a stock converter.. LS1 intake not worth it, the aftermarket MAF, waste of money, the bully dog tuner, waste of money, TB spacer, waste of money. The HP tuner, the LT's, underdrive pulleys are legit..

I bought the intake, injectors, TB, TB spacer, and MAF for $50. Mainly i was after the injectors. They appear to be 45lb per hour maybe? I am willing to go up in stall just dont want some 4500 stall or BS like that maybe around 2500 or such. I hear that factory trailblazer/ envoys come with a 2300 stall factory, by no means positive on that

3000 stall would not kill your gas and it will give you room for a "NASTY" cam.

Let's start slow...

What year is the truck? What are your goals; Cammed sound only, or increased hp/tq across the whole spectrum? Daily Driven? Going to be raced...

Give me some more info and I'll try to help lead you in the right direction. Many of the "mods" you listed are unnecessary and will not be very beneficial.

2002 silverado 1500 LT Z71 5.3L, 4L65E, 70k on drivetrain, I am looking for that cammed sound however i want bite with my bark so not all about the sound. HP and TQ are primary concern, driven as a daily driver but have 4 other vehicles that are daily drivers so not the primary vehicle. It will be raced at green lights, 1/4, and 1/8 miles.

Many of mods were purchased randomly because they were dirt cheap (gave a man a reciever hitch for the bully dog and traded a 12pk coke cola for FIPK) lol

Been looking at MS4 seems to sound and perform good. Friend has GM Hot Cam so im looking for a little more than that.

MS4 is huge, will def want more verter then you are willing to run, esp being your truck is a ec truck.. a 218-220 is a poplar proven cam. You can have it ground on a 112 114 lsa, will have a sound that will not be radical, but will def let people know something is not right..
