Default Need advice on a Cam.

I have a 04 sierra . Swapped a LS1 in about a year ago. Im running all truck intake etc on it . Since the swap i have upgraded to 243 cast heads with ls6 yellow springs and comp cams truion upgraded rockers. Truck has long tubes on it also. I think its time for a cam . I dont have the money for a stall at the time so what would be the best cam to run in my truck? I also have a TBSS intake and TB to put on it when i do my cam swap and some 36lb injectors. I have been looking at BTR racing stage 3 cam . Im new to all this so any adivice would be greatly appreciated ....

We need a little more info.

Do you have a target shift point in mind? How about idle quality? With a stock converter you are somewhat limited and I would keep idle manners in check.

What gears are in it and do you have any plans to put a stall in it? If so how big a stall would you go?

I'd recommend getting the stall before or at the time of the cam. I was like you... got a cam without a stall, drove it for about a week, and then a stall was purchased haha

I'm running a 3,000 that seems to be a good size to start with, and works well with most mild cams.

I'd also go with 4.10 gears or 4.56s. At that point with a mild stall you can run a wild cam and still launch the truck hard. As for a cam if the truck had a 3,000 stall and gears a 224R with a 112 LSA will rip. Some people like the 114 or 115 LSA for smoother idle and more peak but I'm a fan of the 110 or 112 for NA street brawlers.
